Makawanpur
Police have recovered the dead body of a newborn boy, with the placenta still attached, from the Manahari River in ward 7 of Manahari Rural Municipality in Makawanpur district on Tuesday.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Lakshmi Bhandari, spokesperson of Makawanpur District Police Office, the body of the infant has been sent to Hetauda Hospital for a post-mortem, and efforts are being made to find the mother of the child.
This is the third incident in two months in the district where a newborn was found dumped.
Among the three, one infant was found alive and the other dead, said Bhandari.
